Your telegram 28th May. Jebeen. No evidence of Jebsen
and Company Hong Kong receiving any direct amount of
subsidy state-sided it is however ?curious that they re-
ceived twenty per cent Commission on the sale of dyes
for the Badische Fabrik while their business connected
with export and piecegoods import seems to have been
carried on at a loss. They defrayed expenses out of
the twenty per cent on dyes. It is to be imagined
that any direct amount of subsidy would be paid to
head office in Bermany and would not appear as such
in the books of the Hong Kong branch.
MAY.
